Millions wear purple on Spirit Day in a stand against bullying and to show their support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth. Observed annually since 2010, individuals, schools, organizations, corporations, and public figures wear purple, which symbolizes 'spirit' on the rainbow flag.
So, if you're comfortable doing so, on Thursday, wear purple in solidarity to your classes, to the TWU protest and in your daily lives.

'Out-Law' Trinity Western University
Join your OUTlaws colleagues to protest discriminatory policies at Trinity Western University's proposed law school.
The Federation of Law Societies of Canada is expected rule on accreditation for Trinity Western University's proposed law school in Toronto on Thursday, October 17. Anticipating TWU's accreditation, Marcus McCann has scheduled a rally event to express concern with TWU's proposed school.
LGBTQ people, lawyers, law students, and allies will meet on the lawn of Old Osgoode Hall (130 Queen St West) at noon on October 17. Since this is an important development of the legal profession, we are asking everyone to come out, regardless of their sexuality.
More information about the event is located at https://www.facebook.com/events/352687631533059/. Background information about TWU's proposed law school can be found at https://www.facebook.com/lol.twu and https://www.facebook.com/equalityinlegaleducation.
